A few weeks ago a wonderful model drove about as far as possible while staying "in-state". Of course she had other things to do in town, but I'll focus on her reason being to shoot with me! Yeah. Right!

My Last Real Muse

I've photographed hundreds of beautiful women (and some not so beautiful), but a few of them have been truly special. None more so than my friend Yana.








My ONLY real muse? Possibly.

So far anyway. But I remain optimistic.

Darkness In A White Room

I guess this is more about that "style" thing, and changing it. I know I'm not breaking down any new doors or smashing through unknown barriers in the world of photography, but the changes in my life have brought changes in my work. I'm sure that's natural; maybe even expected. I think I was on the way to this direction before I left NYC, but the new studio offers a much more compelling atmosphere for the type of work I've always wanted to do. I've always shot in a sort of film noir style, or at least attempted to, but here, it's just more real, for lack of a better word.

The model is named Robin. The shoot was November of last year. I really would rather be shooting this type of work with film, and feel I should be, but I just can't afford it.









Two posts in less than a week. I can't believe it either. Thank you to those who push me to do this more often.

Figuring Some Things Out

I think a lot about style and direction in photography. Do I have one, is it valid, is it MINE, etc.? Shit like that.

Well, since I moved, I'm shooting in a different location, (but I brought that nasty old mirror from the basement!) and it's naturally had an effect on my work. In a way, it's what I've wanted to do all along, though maybe subconsciously.

The short version - I live in a different place, both geographically and mentally. Geographically, I live here…


One thing remains the same though. Rebecca still looks good.
