Progressive Pieces - A Benefit for Autism

WHAT BETTER WAY TO FIX THE HOLIDAY HANGOVER THAN TO SEE GREAT MUSIC AND WIN PRIZES ALL WHILE HELPING OUT AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR COMMUNITY.

If you aren't directly affected, you probably know someone affected by Autism, whether it be a person with Autism, families, or service providers.

The Autism Society of North Carolina is a non-profit organization that provides services to clients and families affected by Autism. They rely heavily on donations and fundraisers to continue to provide those priceless services.

It is because of this that Mike Mullins and Justin Krick of The Flat Iron and Greg Sarine of The Autism Society of North Carolina have collaborated to start an annual benefit For Autism held at the Flat Iron. 3 nights/13 bands and hundreds of $ in raffle prizes drawn every night.

The acts include:

Friday night: Lance Elko, Cykotine Storm, NYOS, and The Grand Ultimatum

Saturday night: Jim Avett, Amelia's Mechanics, The Radials, and Citified

Sunday afternoon: Bracos, Robin Doby and The Stovepipes

Sunday Evening: Our Horse Jethro, Come Hell or High Water, and Kristen Leigh

Sponsorships and Raffle prizes provided by:

The Music Barn, The Flat Iron, Smith Street Diner, Old Town Draught House, Simple Kneads, Triad Stage, Cheesecakes by Alex, Jimmy John's, Golden Corral, John "Bubby" Kimes, Anton's, Edward McKays, and much more.

Admission is $3 dollars per night. Raffle tickets are $3, or 5 for $10.

10% of the sales and the raffle proceeds are benefitting The Autism Society of North Carolina.

The Flat Iron is located at 221 N. Summit Avenue, on the corner of Summit and Church, Downtown Greensboro, NC 27401

Special Thanks to all the performing bands and the sponsors

I'm Gonna Make A Model v2

Seriously this time. A lovely young woman I've met recently has been very generous with her time, and is an absolute natural talent. Never modeled before. Has no idea how good looking she is.
