Black & White & Hard

For the last year or so, I've been much more into black & white photography in general, but also shooting in direct late afternoon sunlight, with very hard shadows. You still see a lot of this approach coming out of California, and off the top of my head, none better than Renee Jacobs. Note that I'm in no way comparing my work to hers, just stating one example.

Not the easiest shooting conditions and I have a lot to learn.

Big in Ithaca

I recently designed a logo for a dear friend and client in Ithaca NY, and The Ithaca Post used the logo for an article about her latest venture. Anne Marie Cummings has created The Readers' Theatre, a group of actors reading original new plays (as well as a few classics) in true Radio Play form.

Definitely check out her blog at The Reader's Theatre, and if you're near Ithaca October 15-17, catch a performance of her new play, Extremes, a tale of greed and excess in today's disastrous financial climate.
